Follow up to One Little Word Blog Hop

I had a lot of fun checking out the other 33 blogs during yesterday's One Little Word Blog Hop.  I hope you did too.  If you haven't had a chance yet, I encourage you to check the list in yesterday's post!  What a variety of styles, interests and presentations!  Great inspiration.
I wanted to share with you the supplies I used for January.  The album (see photo) is a We R Memory Keepers Classic Leather Album in red.  I am loving this album and have already purchased a second one looking forward to doing this project again.  I also plan to buy some in the 12 x 12 size for the many albums I have yet to finish.  The 9 pocket page that was the main part of our assignment for January came in a pack from Pink Paislee.  I've also purchased 2 more packs of these - I love the variety in this pack!  We'll adding to the back part of this page for our February assignment.  Both of these items I ordered from scrapbook.com.  Very happy with them - great customer service and speedy delivery.  The other items I used were some white cardstock from my stash that I ran through my printer for the template that Ali provided for the cards.  The gold color paper was also something I already had - it's DCWV Shimmer Stack- which I used Tim Holtz Distress Ink (walnut stain) on to age a little.  My color theme for this project is red, white, black and gold.  I'm trying very hard to let this project evolve and not rush it.  Its entirely possible that some of this will change overtime.  I'm still not entirely pleased with the look of the dictionary piece with the definition on it.  Hope you'll join us again for March's Blog Hop to see the results of February assignments. Thank you to all who visited and a special thanks to those who are now following my blog!  I hope to inspire!
